Jewellery:

The only jewellery pupils are permitted in school is a watch and a small discrete pair of stud earrings. Jewellery must be removed for PE. Parents wishing children to wear jewellery as part of religious observation should discuss this with the Headteacher.

Make-up & Hair:

Pupils are not permitted to wear make-up in school. (This includes cosmetic procedures designed to imitate make-up as well as nail varnish, extensions and false nails).

Pupils are not permitted to attend school with coloured hair.

Long hair should be worn up e.g. in a ponytail, bun or plaits. Long fringes should be kept of the eyes with a hair band or hair slides. This helps children concentrate in class and avoids the spread of head lice.

PE Kit:

Each class has two sessions of PE each week and it is important that children have the appropriate kit for these sessions:

  • Black shorts
  • White t-shirt
  • Plimsolls or trainers

During the colder months it is advisable for your child to wear either a plain tracksuit or jogging bottoms and sweatshirt.

We appreciate that on occasions there may be reasons why your child should not take part in a PE lesson, when this does occur please send a note to your child's class teacher explaining the situation.

ALL items of clothing (including PE kit) should be clearly marked with your child’s name.
